Temporäre Ortsansässige 2019

 

“Temporary locals” was a short-term, site-specific installation in which a lace curtain fabric was hung from a tree branch in the park space facing the Weimar Stadtverwaltung and Ausländer Behörde offices. 

This work addresses the refugee housing situation and puts it in the current aspect of German hospitality. A tent's form mixes with a material that is known as homelike and traditional in the country, yet contains patterns taken from middle eastern cultures.
